Our Lavender Essential Oil France, (Lavandula angustifolia) aka Lavender Population is quite a find, having a clean fresh aroma, a little lighter than our Bulgarian Lavender. Lavender is one of the most versatile of essential oils.

  • Botanical Name: Lavandula angustifolia
  • Origin: France
  • Cultivation: Eco-Cultivated
  • Method of Extraction: Steam distillation
  • Part Used: Flowering tops
  • Blends Well With: Bergamot, chamomile (roman and german), lemon, geranium, clove, clary sage, palmarosa, rosemary, eucalyptus, patchouli, clary sage, rose, jasmine, ravensara, lemongrass, mandarin

Our French Lavender Essential Oil France (Lavandula angustifolia) also called Lavender Population is distilled from conventionally cultivated French-grown lavender and is quite a find, in my opinion, with a clean fresh aroma that’s a little lighter than our Bulgarian Lavender.

Lavender is the most versatile of essential oils. Like our other Lavender essential oils, I find it relaxing and calming and I also like to use it in a bath or massage oil when I have sore muscles from over-exertion. This is a classic French lavender, Lavender Population, at a reasonable price. While it is not quite as high in esters as our High Alpine selection, it is still a very good choice.

What is the difference in your three different types of Lavender Essential Oil?

Lavender Bulgaria Bulgaria Lavandula angustifolia Very nice aroma – slightly deeper than the French
Lavender France France Lavandula angustifolia Slightly “sweeter” aroma than the Bulgarian
Lavender High Alpine France Lavandula angustifolia Very best quality with high linalol content and a wonderful light floral aroma

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is now cultivated all over the world, including France, Russia, Bulgaria, the Himalayas and Croatia. Lavender is the most popular and widely used essential oil.
